Dance, Leadership and FUN at MKDS
Dancers learn so much more than technique and movement at MKDS. We believe that the discipline of dance training helps students better understand the principles of commitment, time management, hard work and self confidence. Our goal at MKDS is to educate the minds, bodies, and souls of our dance students, teaching them the skills needed for a successful life.

Beginner Classes | Ages 9 -18
MKDS offers dance classes to new students ages 9 and older who have limited, or no, dance experience, or that have not graduated from our Early Childhood Dance Program.

Join MKDS for acro, combo (ballet / tap), hip hop and jazz beginner classes for ages 9 and older. Classes are typically one hour long.

Tuition rates listed include all May recital fees (costume and participation), and are paid in 10 installments. The first installment payment is due upon registration, and remaining installments are due on the first of each month, September - May.
Note: December holiday show fees are not included in your regular installments and must be paid upon registration for the show.

Elementary Level 2 | Ages 7 - 9
Students level-up their dance education with closer attention to technique and skill. Teacher-placement is required for most Elementary 2-level classes.

MKDS offers acro, ballet, combo (ballet / tap), contemporary / lyrical, hip hop, jazz and tap for students ages 7 - 9. Teacher placement is required for some Elementary 2 level classes.

Pointe Ballet | Ages 12 - 18
This is the style and level of dance that many young ballerinas dream of achieving! MKDS teacher placement is required for all pointe classes.

MKDS teachers will assess students who wish to join pointe classes for dance skills and readiness for their safety and placement into Pointe 1 or Pointe 2 classes. Dancers typically begin pointe classes around age 12, with 3 - 4 years of ballet experience. However, we understand not all dancers will be ready at the same time and teachers handle placement on an individual basis!

Pointe

Pre-Competition | Ages 6 - 10
The MKDS pre-competition track is for dancers that are serious about their training. Pre-competition dancers attend one competition with our competitive dance team each year to dip their toes into the schedule and rigor of the competition team.

Dancers that want to enter the pre-competition track need at least one year of dance experience, preferably in ballet. Dancers in the pre-competition track must enroll in our pre-competition jazz class (30 minutes per week) and ballet (one hour per week).

Monthly tuition starts at $105, plus applicable annual family membership, recital and costume fees. Costs vary depending on the number of classes that your child enrolls in.
